Jasmine Powell

Jasmine Powell, a Creative Expressionist from Hillsborough, North Carolina, offers embodied dance artistry and connection. Locally trained, she continued her artistry at Philadanco and beyond, studying, performing, and choreographing, and she is a resident dancer with KT Collective and Moving Spirit Inc. Jasmine consistently studies in Africa, South America, and Europe, holding an Oberlin College B.A. and a Hollins University M.F.A. in collaboration with ADF and Frankfurt University Music and Performing Arts. Currently a professor at Elon University, she received the 2026 national award from NDEO for Outstanding Dance Educator in Higher Education. Jasmine also connects with her community through choreographic premieres and international dance films and festivals, highlighting Approximation of a Woman, Flightless Doves, and Self Un/En Titled, performed at the Carolina Performing Arts Commons Festival, where she served as co-curator. As a creative director, Jasmine has learned the value of diasporic cultural history found in the body’s personal story and acknowledges the validity of the work she engages with through a creative expressionist lens.

Blakely Boles

Blakely Boles, originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography and a BA in Arts Administration from Elon University. In her time at Elon, she has performed in Dancing in the Landscape, Fall Dance Concert, Spring Dance Concert, and the Student Composition Concert. She is so excited to present her piece in this year’s Dancing in the Landscape!

Alexandra Joye Warren

Alexandra Joye Warren is a Director/Choreographer and Assistant Professor in Elon University’s Music Theatre Program, and the Founding Artistic Director of JOYEMOVEMENT.

Alexandra is the 2025 recipient of the Jan Van Dyke Legacy Award, which honors an individual who makes NC a great place to dance.

Alexandra’s choreographic work has been commissioned by and/or presented at the Microsoft Corporation, American Dance Festival, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and beyond.

She is a contributing author of Dance in Musical Theatre: A History of the Body in Movement, edited by Phoebe Rumsey and Dustyn Martincich, published by Methuen Drama.
She has completed postgraduate study and training at the Uprooted Jazz Dance Educators Workshop, the Summer Directing Intensive at Yale University, and L’école de Sables in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal.
She is a graduate of Spelman College (BA) and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (MFA).

Justin Tornow

Justin Tornow is a choreographer, artist-scholar, and educator whose work moves between experimental performance, pedagogy, and dance history. She is the founder and artistic director of COMPANY, an interdisciplinary collective creating experimental performance works. Her current research traces experimental lineages in American dance and education, with particular attention to Black Mountain College, the U.S. dance avant-gardes, and John Dewey’s philosophies of art, experience, and democracy. Tornow teaches dance history, theory, composition, and movement practices and is a Lecturer at UNC Greensboro. She holds an M.F.A. in Choreography and is a Ph.D. candidate in Dance Studies at Temple University.

Jamie Bolash

Jamie Bolash is a first-year Elon College Fellow majoring in dance science. Jamie has trained in an array of styles from ballet, contemporary, and jazz, to hip hop and musical theater. She grew up in Illinois and has been performing in dance recitals since age 5. Jamie had a leading role as a choreographer in her high school’s contemporary based dance company and served as a dance captain for her theatre program. She also played dance-heavy roles in musicals such as “Big Fish”, “The Princess and the Pea”, and “The 25th Annual Spelling Bee”. Jamie can’t wait to continue learning!

Kelley Calvillo

Kelley Calvillo is a junior at Elon University with a major in Dance Performance and Choreography and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. She is originally from Raleigh, NC, and grew up training with the Rainbow Dance Company, Enloe Dance Ensemble, and at the North Carolina Dance Institute. More recently, she has trained at the American Dance Festival, Gagalab NYC, and the One Body One Career Countertechnique Intensive. While at Elon, she has been involved in Dancing in The Landscape, Fall Dance, and Spring Dance. She is so excited to continue to grow in her time at Elon.

Izzy Carl

Isabella (Izzy) Carl is a sophomore from Douglassville, Pennsylvania, double majoring in Dance Performance and Choreography and Political Science. She studied at The Center for Performing and Fine Arts and Visions Dance Studio. Her recent performance credits include Dancing in the Landscape 2025 and Spring Dance: Roots and Horizons. Izzy is so excited for everyone to enjoy this amazing show!

Arielle Chizinsky

Arielle is from Santa Cruz California and has danced since she was 2 years old. She first started with ballet but has also trained in contemporary, modern, hip hop, jazz, and lyrical. Arielle was in a pre-professional modern company at the Tannery World Dance and Cultural center for 12 years.

Cassie Corbett

Cassie Corbett is a first-year Dance Science major and multifaceted performer from New Jersey. Recognized for her unique musicality and stage presence, she has performed on stages, screens, and events across the globe. Her credits include walking at UDMA with Champions Athletic Apparel, appearing in Drew James visual projects, and being featured in Duelle’s “Steppin” music video. A graduate with Honors from Howell High School’s Fine Performing Arts Program in Dance, Cassie performed as Veronica and a featured dancer in Chicago. She trained extensively at Voltage Dance Company in contemporary, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, ballet, and musical theater. Hand-selected by Isenberg Entertainment, Cassie represented Team USA at the 2026 Dance World Cup and will return for 2027.

Laila Cottman

Laila Cottman is a junior majoring in Strategic Communications with a minor in Dance. Prior to Elon, she trained at DANCE4LIFE School of the Arts and Training Institute. Cottman had the opportunity to study this summer and the last at PHILADANCO! and previously trained at the Dance Theatre of Harlem School Summer Intensive. She has had the honor of performing in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, the 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade, and annual concerts at Elon University. Cottman has proven to be an impactful performer and hopes to touch every audience she meets.

Genesse Craft

Genesse Craft has been dancing for 15 years at Move By Morelli, training in jazz, ballet, hip hop, tap, musical theater, pointe, ballroom, and contemporary. She has competed at regional and national competitions and had the opportunity to train with professional companies such as Celebrity Senior Crew and Heat Force. Outside of performing, Genesse loves teaching dance and helping younger dancers find confidence and joy through dance. Some of her favorite memories, closest friendships, and most meaningful experiences have come from dance. She is so excited to begin her journey and see what comes next at Elon!

Ashley Dengate

Ashley is a freshman Dance Performance & Choreography major from Nashville, TN. She has been dancing for 16 years, and creating choreography for 3 years. This year, she led Sunday in the Park with George as Dot/Marie, choreographed Descendants: The Musical for Gift of Song, a local theatre non-profit, and performed with Pydance in Ego as part of Kindling Arts Festival. Her most recent professional work was choreographing and dancing in a music video for Nashville-based punk band Snõõper.

Cailin Dick

Cailin is a first-year student pursuing a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, with plans to double major in Arts Administration. From the Wilmington, NC area, she trained and competed in all genres of dance with Dance Express Performing Arts Center. Some of her accomplishments include attending the Steps on Broadway Pre-Professional Summer Intensive in NYC for three years, serving as head choreographer for her high school theatre department, and working as an apprentice for Platinum NDC. Cailin is thrilled to be part of Dancing in the Landscape and excited to make her first Elon Dance performance!

Noelle Drummonds

Noelle is a senior Dance & International Studies (German) dual-degree from Northwest Arkansas. She’s attended programs with Broadway Artists Alliance and American Academy of Ballet, training with Erika Henningson, Will Roland, Debbie Roshe, and Sarah Meahl. Noelle has performed in the off-broadway Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in NYC and with Carnival Cruise Lines in their summer cabaret series. Previous Elon Dance Credits: Spring Dance Concert (’24, ’25), Fall Dance Concert (’24, ‘25). Elon Renegade: Pippin (Ensemble), The Drowsy Chaperone (Co-choreographer). Arkansas Public Theatre: The Music Man (Zanetta), Something Rotten! (Ensemble), Disaster! (Choreographer). Other: In Concert (Tobacco Roads Productions).

Noelle Eich

My name is Noelle Eich and I am from Cleveland, Ohio. I am a freshman at Elon University and I am double majoring in Dance Performance and Choreography BFA as well as Arts Administration. At Elon, I am also a member of the Elon College Fellows Program and I am getting involved with DanceWorks and The Dance Lab. I am very excited to be a part of Elon University’s Performing Arts Program, and I cannot wait to see what the year has in store.

Avery Fuhr

She studied at Balance Dance Center for 12 years before committing to Elon University’s Dance Performance and Choreography BFA program. She trained in various styles including: ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, tap, and, occasionally, African dance.

Molly Fuller

Molly is from Monmouth County New Jersey and has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She first trained in ballet and modern technique but switch into competitive dancing at 14 where she learned contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical. She also participated in her high schools Visual and Preforming Arts Academy where she learned to choreograph and preform pieces.

Lulna Ghirmai

Lulna Ghirmai is a second-year from Fulton, Maryland, double majoring in Dance Performance & Choreography and Public Health Studies. She is a well trained dancer with a background in all styles. Some of her highlights at Elon include performing in Dancing in the Landscape Roots and Horizons and Rhythms of Resilience. She also enjoyed her countless years dancing competitively with her home studio. Lulna is beyond excited to share her love for dance at Elon.

Carter Granson

Carter Granson is a freshman Dance major at Elon and beyond thrilled to start his journey. His dancing career started only a few short years ago but he has grown to love it so much. He is so excited for the next four years and to share every moment, including this one, with you all!!

Emily Grosso

Emily Grosso is a first year BFA Dance Performance and Choreography major. This is her first performance at Elon! She is so excited to join this family and community. She is from Metuchen, New Jersey, where she trained at Metuchen Dance Centre for over fifteen years. She also trained at other schools throughout NJ and NYC, including Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and Princeton Ballet School! She has had an amazing time working on ‘Delicate Territory’ with Professor Warren. She would like to thank her family, friends, and all her MDC family for their constant support and love.

Isabella Jones

Isabella is from Door County, Wisconsin and has been dancing since the age of 3. She has broadened her artistry and experiences at notable dance intensives/companies like Interlochen Arts Academy, Hubbard Street Dance Company, American Dance Festival, and Steps on Broadway. She is looking forward to her next four years at Elon as a Dance Performance & Choreography major.

Nate Kauffman

Nate Kauffman is from Gaithersburg, Maryland and has danced since he was in 6th grade. He is so excited to be performing with Elon Dance and would like to thank his family, friends, and the faculty here at Elon for all their support.

Alyssabelle Lasecki

Junior Double Major in Dance and Statistics. She loves performing in school shows and her favorite styles are hip-hop, tap, and contemporary.

Drew Layman

Drew is a first year dance major from Charlotte, North Carolina. She has been performing in dance and musical theatre since elementary school. She is very excited to join Elon’s Dance program and perform in Professor Warren’s Dancing in the Landscape piece!!

Hannah Louis

Hannah Louis is a sophomore Dance Performance and Choreography BFA and Psychology double major. She has been dancing for 16 years. Her choreography has been featured in local showcases, regional and national dance conventions, and in showings as part of the National Choreography Intensive in 2024. Hannah has performed in several shows at Elon, including Dancing in the Landscape (2025), the Dance Composition Concert (2025), and the Spring Dance Concert (2026). Hannah is thrilled to be continuing her training with the Elon Dance Program this season!

Kira Madan

Kira Madan is a first-year dance major from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She has trained in dance at UNC School of the Arts and Academy of Dance Arts, learning ballet/pointe, modern, contemporary, jazz, and character dance. Kira has attended Commercial Dance Intensive both in New York and Durham. She most recently was the dance captain for Frozen at Reynolds High School and won Best Production Stage Manager for All In The Timing at North Carolina Theatre Conference. She also was the assistant stage manager for Hadestown with Reynolds High School, which won Best Musical at the DPAC 2025 Awards.

Kayla Mazzei-Williams

Kayla Mazzei-Williams is a dynamic dancer and creative artist whose passion for movement shines through every performance. With a strong foundation in contemporary and jazz dance, as well as experience across a variety of styles, she is valued for her versatility, improvisational skills, and ability to adapt quickly to new choreography. Her positive energy, professionalism, and collaborative nature make her a trusted and engaging performer. Known for her flexibility, elegant lines, and captivating stage presence, Kayla approaches dance as both an art form and a means of storytelling.

Amanda Morris

Amanda Morris is a sophomore Dance Performance & Choreography and Dance Science double major. She has been dancing for fifteen years and has trained in various styles, including ballet, modern, tap, jazz, pom, hip-hop, and African. Last year, she performed with the Lees-McRae College dance team and is excited to continue her study of dance at Elon.

Ruby Mueller

Ruby is a first-year BFA Dance major with plans to double major in Dance Science from Las Vegas, Nevada and she is so excited to be a part of the Elon Phoenix family! She has been dancing for 10 years and some of her favorite shows she has been in include Wizard of Oz, Something Rotten, and Chicago: Teen Edition. She wants to give huge thanks to her family for all of their love and support as she pursues her dreams here at Elon and a special shout out to her alma mater, Faith Lutheran, and all of her new friends she has made as a rising Phoenix. She is so grateful for this opportunity to get to perform and train with such talented people and professors and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Madelyn Neal

Madelyn is a sophomore Dance Performance & Choreography and Exercise Science double major. She is so excited to be a part of her second Dancing in the Landscape performance! Her previous performance credits with Elon include Spring Dance Concert: Roots and Horizon (2026) and the Student Composition Showcase (2025). She is so excited for more performance opportunities and looks forward to being a part of Fall Dance Concert: Marauder’s Midnight in November! She would like to thank her friends and family for all of their support and encouragement through her artistic journey here at Elon!

Benta Owino

Benta Owino is a sophomore from Grasonville, Maryland, double majoring in Dance Performance & Choreography and Digital Content Management. A lifelong dancer, she has trained in classical ballet, tap, contemporary, and pointe at The Ballet Theatre of Maryland Conservatory, where she performed in professional productions. At Elon, Benta has appeared in Dancing in the Landscape, Roots and Horizons, and Rhythms of Resilience. Passionate about sharing dance beyond the stage, she choreographs and performs original works while engaging in community outreach. She is excited to bring her love of dance to Elon and connect diverse audiences through movement and purpose!

Annalee Penny

Taylor Quinn

Taylor Quinn is an emerging artist pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography and Bachelor of Science in Sport Management at Elon University. Her most recent credits include “A(spire)”, a site specific piece choreographed by Stephan Kopolwitz at American Dance Festival, as well as “subterranean h_o_l_d” choreographed by Caitlyn Schrader, and “Revival” choreographed by Angelica Kankam in Elon University’s Spring Dance Concert, Roots and Horizons. Taylor is ecstatic to be performing in Dancing in the Landscape and is forever inspired by the artists who came before her, carrying pieces of their passion everywhere she goes.

Savannah Rathert

Hi my name is Savannah Rathert and I am from Buffalo, NY. I am a Dance Performance & Choreography and Dance Science major. I am excited and looking forward to my time here at Elon!

Ashley Rossignol

Ashley is a Junior Dance Major who danced with The Franklin School for the Performing Arts, where she appeared in productions such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland. She has also trained with The Carolina Ballet, Butler Ballet, and The Rock School of Dance. At Elon University, Ashley has performed in Fall Dance Concert and Spring Dance Concert. She is excited to be a part of Dancing in the Landscape!

Hannah Rouse

Hannah Rouse is a sophomore double majoring in Dance Performance & Choreography and English with a concentration in Creative Writing. She’s been dancing for 18 years and has trained in many different styles. Recent performances include Dancing in the Landscape (2025) and Spring Dance: Roots and Horizons.

Jackie Russell

Jackie is a senior dance minor, performing in DIL for the first time this season! She is super excited to be part of this production and has had an absolute blast working alongside such a talented group of dancers and an amazing choreographer!

Riley Slater

Max Stavnezer

Max Stavnezer is a second-year Dance Science and Dance Performance/Choreography double major from Ohio. He was trained at Tamala Taylor Academy of Dance in all styles. Max was an assistant teacher at his studio for 3 years and is now a choreographer. Furthermore, he has trained at the PPU Summer intensive for 3 years. One of his greatest dance accomplishments is winning the title of Mr. Dance of Ohio in 2024. At Elon, Max has performed in Dancing in the Landscape 2025, Choreography showcase 2025, Roots and Horizons, and now Dancing in the Landscape 2026. He looks forward to performing in Fall dance, the Choreography showcase, and Spring dance.

Gianna Stedjan

Gianna Stedjan is a sophmore student pursuing a double major in Dance Performance & Choreography as well as Dance Science. She is originally from New York where she trained at Coupè Theater Studio for 13 years in all styles. This is her second Dancing in the Landscape Performance. She has also previously performed in the Dance Composition II & III Showcase and Roots and Horizons here at Elon. Gianna is so excited to be a part of this production and to share her love of dance with you.

Kalynn Todd

Kalynn is from North Carolina and has been dancing for 15 years. She has performed numerous dance competition routines, including 3 self-choreographed pieces.

Katie Williams

Katie is a senior and recently got back from working at Boston Ballet this summer, which she plans on returning to post grad. She’s previously worked on Dancing in the Landscape, Bring devices Together, Spring dance L’héritage se Poursuit, and Revival (Understudy).

Janae Willock

Janae Willock is a Senior Cinema and Television Arts Major with minor(s) in Dance and Theatre Arts. Performing has been apart of her life since she was just 5 years old doing everything from talent shows to musicals. She has been apart of Elon productions such as Paradise Lost 25′ , Black History Month Dance Concert 24′ and upcoming Fall Dance Concert 26′. She is ecstatic to be apart of Dancing in Landscape this year as she shares a passion with all things avant-garde and abstract! She would like to thank the Elon Dance Program for giving her these opportunities and creating a fulfilling space for creativity.

Gracie Wolfe

Gracie Wolfe is a first-year Dance Science major from Charlotte, NC, and has been dancing for 12 years. She danced with Embody Dance Company for the past six years, where she competed and trained in ballet, pointe, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and jazz. Gracie was a member of Charlotte Catholic High School’s varsity dance team for four years and competed at UDA NDTC this past January. In addition to competing, she loves choreographing and sharing the joy of dance with others through teaching and performing!
