This is an amateur production of Concord Floral presented by the Elon Department of Performing Arts

Concord Floral was first produced in 2014 by Suburban Beast and presented by Why Not Theatre at the Theatre Centre (Toronto, ON).

It was written by Jordan Tannahill over a three-year development process with Erin Brubacher, Cara Spooner and a group of teenagers from across the Greater Toronto Area.

Susanne Shawyer

Susanne Shawyer is a dramaturg, theatre historian, and Associate Professor of Theatre at Elon University. Her research on dramaturgies of protest and theatre pedagogy has been published in such journals as Theatre Journal, Theatre Topics, Research in Drama Education, Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, Performance Matters, Canadian Theatre Review, as well as multiple anthologies. She is Affiliate Faculty—Dramaturgy Specialist with Theatrical Intimacy Education, an organization dedicated to training students and theatre professionals in theatrical intimacy best practices. She is currently Co-Editor of the journal Theatre Topics. Favorite Elon credits include The Wolves, Moment, Servant of Two Masters. Education: PhD in Theatre, University of Texas at Austin.

Kim Shively

Kim Shively is an Associate Professor at Elon University where she teaches acting and directs. She is also Associate Faculty with Theatrical Intimacy Education. A member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA, professional acting credits include: Shakespeare Orange County, Laguna Playhouse, and the Asolo Rep; roles on Guiding Light, As the World Turns, The Young and the Restless, CSI:Miami; and over a dozen national commercials. She is the co-author of Applied Meisner for the 21st Century Actor (Routledge) and a number of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Shively travels around the world working as a theatrical intimacy educator and practitioner with an emphasis on working with minors. Sarah Kay Adams

Sarah is a junior now, here at Elon, a double major in Arts Administration and Theatre Design/Technology with a concentration in sound and light. In her most recent shows, she was a Lighting Designer for Fall Dance Concert here at Elon and Audio Technician 1 at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse for Guys and Dolls, Mamma Mia, Freaky Friday, and The Full Monty. She had so much fun creating with the director and music director in this show's final vision! She hopes you enjoy the show!

Natalie Taylor Hart

Natalie Taylor Hart is a Scenic Designer and the Associate Chair of Performing Arts at Elon University. Matthew Bobzien

Matthew Bobzien is a Junior from Raleigh, NC double majoring in Drama & Theatre Studies and Arts Administration. Matthew’s Elon credits include 24 Hour Plays Tors Snack Break (Alpha Psi Omega, Director), 10 Minute Play Festival (NewWorks, Producer), Sense and Sensibility (Dramaturg), Sensory Overload (Playwright, Director), and 20 Plays in 40 Minutes (Alpha Psi Omega, Director, Deviser, Performer). Matthew is a member of Elon Performing Arts’ Improv Troupe, Instant Laughter. He also serves as Technical Supervisor for Renegade Productions. Brianna Boucher

Brianna Boucher (She/Her) is a junior pursuing a double major in Arts Administration and Theatrical Design and Technology with focuses in stage management and costumes. Recent Credits Include: Concord Floral (Stage Manager), Bye Bye Birdie (Asst. Costume Designer), Buried Deep (Asst. Costume Designer), Movin' On (Asst. Keri Anderson

Keri Anderson is a sophomore BFA Acting and BA Arts Administration double major with a minor in Business Administration from Maryland. She is very grateful for the opportunity to work on the Clue creative team as an assistant director. Past Elon credits include: Concord Floral (#5 (Rosa Mundi)) and Sense and Sensibility (Ms. Dashwood u/s & Margaret u/s).

Hannah Elise Brown

Hannah Elise Brown is a senior with majors in Arts Administration and Theatrical Design and Technology, with concentrations in stage management and lighting design and a minor in Business Administration. She is so excited to be able to be the lighting designer for both Concord Floral and Inferior Sex along with the stage manager for Clue! Some of her past credits at Elon include Movin' On (Lighting Designer) and Fall Dance Concert 2021 (Stage Manager/Lighting Designer). She would like to thank her family and friends, as she would not be able to do this without them!

Demaya Culp

DeMya Culp is a sophomore at Elon University who is majoring in Arts Administration and Drama and Theatre studies. She is no stranger to the stage, and has been in productions such as Willy Wonka, Seussical, Aladdin and Elon Cares. She has also sung in élan jazz ensemble and has sung the music of Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder. She would like to thank Elon Performing Arts and her family as they enjoy The Moment. @broadway20_

A senior in the Music Theatre and Arts Administration programs. Haley Covington is a Senior B.F.A. Acting and B.A. Arts Administration double major from Franklin, Tennessee. Elon credits include Marianne in Sense and Sensibility, Witch 2 in Macbeth, #8 U/S in The Wolves, and Petunia U/S in Clown Bar. Graham Cole is a sophomore Acting major from McLean, Virginia. His work at Elon include Concord Floral (7 / Couch), Sense and Sensibility (Mrs. Jennings U/S, Sir John U/S), and improv with Instant Laughter.

Manuela Cornick Fernández

Manu is a lateral entry into Elon's BFA Acting Program, currently taking classes with the Class of 25. Hailing from Costa Rica, where theatrical opportunities are not easy to come by, she aims to participate in any and all experiences that allow her to work on performances, be it on or offstage. Her credits at Elon include Dramaturgy in Sense and Sensibility and Understudy in Heart of Shrapnel. Costa Rican credits include Costume Design Intern in Chicago, Props Master in Nido De Águilas, and Dance Captain and Costume Master in Les Misérables.

Eduardo Sanchez

Eduardo is a senior acting major from Charlotte, NC. Previous Elon productions include Detective in Heart of Shrapnel, Bobo in Clownbar, and an understudy postion as Fortinbras/Raynaldo in Hamlet. Having recently completed his spring semester in LA as a part of the study USA program at Elon, he looks forward to his senior year and hopes you support him and the class of 2023.

Allison Durand

Allison is a sophomore from Louisville, KY double majoring in Acting and Political Science. Previous Elon credits include The Cherry Orchard (Anya/Dunyasha Understudy & Passerby). Allison is also an admissions tour guide, a Voting Ambassador, and an Elon College Fellow.

Riley Gibson

Riley is a junior Theatrical Design & Technology and Statistics double major from Durham, NC. The Cherry Orchard is his first mainstage stage management position at Elon, and he cannot wait for you to experience the work this company has been putting into this production for months. Riley would like to thank his friends and family for all of their support, love, and compassion!

Kayla Jordan

Kayla Jordan is a sophomore TDT major from Nashville, Tennessee. Previous Elon credits Into the Woods (Assistant Stage Manager) and Concord Floral (Assistant Stage Manager). Other recent credits include Steel Magnolias (Stage Manager) and Murder on the Orient Express (Stage Manager) at Weathervane Playhouse. Kayla is thrilled to now be an Assistant Stage Manager for The Bridges of Madison County and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Sean Mikesh

Sean Mikesh is a sophomore BFA Acting major from Bristow, VA who is very excited to make his debut performance with Instant Laughter! At Elon, Sean was involved with last season’s spring show The Cherry Orchard as the part of Trofimov. Also, Sean understudied for the other plays from last season including: Heart of Sharpnel (Y) and Sense and Sensibility (Edward/Col. Brandon). He was also involved in the student-led production Sensory Overload. He's so glad you came out, and he hopes you're ready for an exciting show!

Laney Lynch is a Sophomore BFA Acting Major at Elon. Tommy Truitt

Tommy Truitt is a Senior BFA Acting major from Mt. Airy Maryland. He is thrilled to be playing the role of Wadsworth. John-Luke Lindstrom

John-Luke is a senior Acting Major from Maplewood, New Jersey. He was previously in Elon's productions of Medea and Hamlet, and understudied Trojan Barbie and Arcadia. He also studied Comedy in Chicago with Second City's Comedy Studies program.

Alan Kornbluth

Alan Kornbluth is a BFA Acting Major from Caracas Venezuela. Some of his credits include Three Is A Crowd (Frank) (Independent Production), She Kills Monsters (Chuck) (Renegade Productions), and Please Clap Improv.

Mercedes Ruiz

Mercedes Ruiz is a queer Latinx playwright, dramaturg, and arts administrator. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama Theatre Studies and Arts Administration with a minor in Business Administration this December. She is passionate about mental health, equity in the performing arts, LGBTQ+ rights, comedy, and artistry. She has experience in acting, writing, production, and business administration in the performing arts. This summer, she had the opportunity to have a full-length production for her first complete work, Three Is A Crowd, a play about a lively birthday party that ends in disaster in the form of tarnished friendships and relationships. She has enjoyed working with the dramaturgy team, cast, and crew on this dynamic production. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Anabelle Sumera-Decoret

Anabelle Sumera-Decoret (she/her) is a First-Year BFA Acting Major from Seattle, Washington. Elon credits include: Concord Floral (8 U/S). Jonathan is a junior Theatrical Design & Technology major with a focus in Scenic Design. Concord Floral is his first main stage role as a Scenic Designer at Elon, and he cannot wait for you to be enthralled into the interactive set created by himself and the performers!

Caroline Digan

Caroline is a senior Drama Theatre Studies Major with minors in Mathematics and Music from New Milford, New Jersey. Her collegiate theatrical experiences include the role of Molly Sweeney, in an Elon College Fellow production of Molly Sweeney, the final monologue in The Vagina Monologues. Caroline has also been accredited for roles in student short films, which include the BFA Thesis entitled The Forest Women, in which she played the lead.

Ben Larson

Ben Larson is a first-year BFA Acting major. Previous credits include understudy for #7 in Concord Floral (Elon University), Grantaire in Les Miserables, Mike in Theory of Relativity, and Tim in Noises Off (St. Charles North High School).

Gavin Connors

Sam Olt is a First year BFA Acting major from Villa Hills, Kentucky.
