About Collage

From the very beginning, Elon Music Theatre has been set apart as a program where students learn musical theatre not only as performers, but as creatives; as directors, choreographers, and music directors, learning skills that will help to build their future careers beyond the stage. Collage celebrates this extraordinary program and our multitalented students, with a program entirely staged, arranged, choreographed, and performed by the students themselves. Like its namesake, Collage spans the musical and theatrical spectrum, with material both new and old viewed through the lenses of the artists who will soon shape and re-shape the professional industry. By performing in Collage, every Elon “MT” joins in a grand tradition connecting them to the many great talents who passed this way; you, also, join in this tradition as audience members, the family and friends we honor today as the inspiration for the art – and artists – on stage. Jacob Brent

Jacob is a performer, director/ choreographer, and a professor of musical theater. Jacob is best known for his portrayal of Mr. Mistoffelees in the Broadway, London and Video productions of Cats. He is the only performer to have appeared in all three and the only actor to perform in both of the record-breaking performances of the longest running Broadway and West End show. He also had the privilege of working with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber while in the original cast of Starlight Express in Las Vegas. As a director and choreographer his work can be seen Off Broadway, regionally and in summer theaters across the country. Jacob holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Dance and a M.F.A. in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University.

Courtney Liu

Courtney Liu is an Assistant Professor of Music Theatre and Director-Choreographer at Elon University. She has performed with the Broadway cast of the Phantom of the Opera, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Queen of the Night, AEA & Disney Developmental labs, the Broadway Dance Lab, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Busch Gardens Theme Parks, the Cincinnati Ballet, and the Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. Courtney has taught dance for 20 years and published her pedagogical research in the Journal of Dance Education. Recent choreography credits include Forestburgh Theatre, Playmakers SYC, and the American Dance Festival in collaboration with the Nasher Museum. Courtney received her BA and MFA from Duke University.

Cassidy May Benullo

Cassidy May Benullo is a junior Music Theatre Major from Los Angeles, California. Some of her favorite roles include Sonya in Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812 at Elon University and Kira in Xanadu at the Red Barn Summer Theatre. Cassidy has done voiceovers for Disney and Cartoon Network, with credits including Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Peanuts, Whisker Haven Tales with the Palace Pets, and Lego Friends. She has also done commercial VO work including Burger King, Xfinity Mobile, and Sea World. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Aubee Billie

Che Hun Tah Mo! Aubee is so excited to be performing in Collage! She wants to thank her friends and family, specifically her Mom and Dad, for letting her live out her dreams and supporting her every step of the way. She would also like to thank the Seminole Tribe of Florida and the faculty and staff here at Elon for giving her the opportunity to learn and grow. She hopes that you enjoy the show 🙂

Carrington Black

Carrington Black is a sophomore Music Theatre major at Elon University. Recent Credits include: Sour Kangaroo (Seussical), Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Aida (Aida), Sarah (Ragtime). She would like to thank Professor Liu and Professor Brent for this opportunity. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Mitchell Brown

Mitchell is so excited to be participating in his second Collage here at Elon. Previously at Elon, he has played Andrey/Prince Bolkonsky in Great Comet, Man in Chair in Renegade’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone, and he appeared in The Magic Flute.

Emma Bruce

Emma Bruce is a sophomore and is excited to be apart of her second Collage! She was previously in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (Natasha Understudy/Ensemble) at Elon last year. She is extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to be apart of such an amazing school and legacy filled with people she can “turn to” (see what I did there). She is also grateful to have the unending support of her amazing professors, peers, friends, and family. Psalms 37:4!

Micah Cabot

Happy Collage 2025! Micah is super excited to be back on the stage performing with Elon Music Theatre! He was recently featured in Elon’s production of Natasha, Pierre, and The Great Comet of 1812. Micah has been blessed with the opportunity to direct one of the numbers tonight, “Dark Lady” along with his choreographer Nolan Tiech. Enjoy the show you beautiful humans!

Treasure Capers

Treasure Capers is a Freshman in Music Theatre. Credits include SpongeBob (Ensemble/Understudy for Sandy), Once On This Island (Understudy for Mama Euralie), Memphis (Ensemble), A Chorus Line (Understudy for Diana Morales/Ensemble), Once Upon A Time (Ursula), Bring It On (Ensemble), and Sweeney Todd (Ensemble). She has also performed with the Georgia All-State Choir and Broadway Dreams. Treasure would like to thank her father, her mentor John-Michael D’Havliand, Professor Liu, and Professor Warren for their encouragement and guidance. Finally, she thanks the Lord for all the opportunities he has blessed her with.

Elliot Choate

Elliot Choate is a first-year student in Elon University’s Music Theatre Class of 2029. Favorite credits include Sky Masterson (Guys and Dolls), Billy (Chicago), Sky (Mamma Mia!), Billy J. Crocker (Anything Goes), and Cornelius Hackl (Hello, Dolly!). He is deeply grateful to his parents, Elizabeth and Tim, and to his family for their endless encouragement and support. Noah Clark

Noah Clark is a freshman from Lakeville, Minnesota, and is excited to make his Elon Music Theatre debut in Collage! Favorite past roles include Ren in Footloose, Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain, and Mr. Green in Clue. He is thrilled to begin his journey with the program and to be performing alongside such a talented group. Noah sends love and thanks to his family for their endless support.

George Eastman

George Eastman is a freshman Music Theatre major at Elon. You may have seen him in the 2024 Jimmy Awards for the role of Anatole in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. When George was in high school he also played the roles of Gabe Goodman (Next to Normal), Orpheus (Hadestown), and Roland (Constellations). George would like to thank his parents and besties for making this college transition so fun.

Andrew France

Andrew is a Senior Music Theatre BFA and is so excited to be performing in his second and last Collage! Some of his favorite credits include Moritz in Spring Awakening, Tyler/Ensemble in Merrily We Roll Along, and Sisyphus in Myths and Hymns. Andrew is also a musician and released his debut album, Better Off Gone, this past January! He would like to thank his friends and family for everything they do for him! Enjoy the show!

Kai Gaeta

Kai is so excited to return to Collage at Elon!! Thank you Mom and Emme for your continued love and support.

Lainey Gaston

Lainey Gaston is a First Year from Concord, North Carolina. You may have seen her at the 2024 Jimmy Awards for her role as Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other shows that shaped Lainey include, Beauty and the Beast (Mrs.Potts), Sister Act (Deloris Van Cartier) and Rock of Ages (Justice Charlie). Lainey has won many awards including the Blumey and Maestro Awards. She would like to thank God, her parents, Dr. Corey and Laura Gaston as well as Professor Liu and Professor Brent for trusting her and her amazing team to create this number! Instagram: @lainery_06

Maddie Hewgley

Maddie is a senior Music Theatre and Political Science double major and she cannot believe this is her last Collage! Favorite Elon credits include A Chorus Line (Bebe) and Natasha, Pierre… (Swing). Jonas Hinsdale

Jonas Hinsdale is a freshman Music Theatre major thrilled to make his Elon debut. Regional: “A Christmas Carol“, “Matilda“. Favorite credits include “Alice by Heart“, “The Prom“, “A Chorus Line“, and “Anything Goes“. Endless thanks to his family, teachers, and friends for their unwavering support.

Malia Horst

Malia Horst is a Senior Music Theatre major and wants to welcome you to Collage 2025! Past Credits: Margot and Elle Woods U/S in Elon’s Legally Blonde, Marian U/S, Chiara U/S, and Ensemble in Elon’s Bridges of Madison County, Cinderella in Into The Woods, and Inga in Young Frankenstein. She has been seen in Great Plains Summer Theatre’s productions of Legally Blonde and Hello Dolly! (Chutney/Ernestina Money,) and most recently played Rizzo in Grease at NCCA at Jeans Playhouse in Lincoln, NH. Special thanks to Courtney Liu, Jacob Brent, and all cast and crew. She is so sad that this will be her last collage, but thanks EVERYONE for an incredible process! Enjoy the show!!

Anya Jones

Anya (she/her) is so excited to get her senior year kicked off with Collage! Regionally, Anya’s favorite credits include West Side Story (Velma/Dance Captain), Wizard of Oz (Glinda/Dance Captain), Footloose (Ensemble), Anything Goes (Chastity), and Debbie Allen’s original musical: Brothers of the Knight . You might have also seen her in Elon’s productions of Merrily We Roll Along (Dory/Mary Understudy) or A Chorus Line (Laura/Dance Captain). In her spare time, you can find Anya teaching fitness classes, completing her research, or drinking a Cheerwine.

Allie Joseph

Allie is a first-year Music Theatre major born & raised in Charlotte, NC, and she is SO excited to be performing in her first production at Elon!
Favorite high school credits include Miss Adelaide (Guys & Dolls), Hope Harcourt (Anything Goes), Brooke Wyndham (Legally Blonde), Ursula (Sweet Charity), and Fritzie (Caberet). She would like to thank her parents for always supporting her and for helping make her Elon dreams become reality!

Nate Krohmer

Nate Krohmer is both excited and sad to have his final Collage. He still remembers getting to do I Will Turn to You with his class for the first time as a fist-year and will always carry that with him. He is also thrilled to share “I Love a Piano” this Collage with assistance by Maddie Hewgley. He gives thanks to the entire cast and Maddie for making this number more alive than ever. Enjoy the show!

Sebastian Gonzalez Layton

Sebastian is super excited to be making his Elon performing debut in Collage! He is a freshman Music Theatre major and is incredibly grateful to be attending this awesome program. His most recent credits include: Officer Lockstock in Urinetown, Mitch Mahoney in Putnam, and Billy Flynn in Chicago. He would like to thank his family, friends, and awesome girlfriend Cate for their continued support of his passions!

Ana Sofía Hernández López

Ana Sofía Hernández López is a sophomore Elon Music Theatre international student, originally from Querétaro, Mexico. She is currently in the ensemble of the upcoming Elon production of An American in Paris. Some of her past performances include: Vanessa (In The Heights), Ensemble, u/s Rosie/Pepper (Mamma Mia!) and Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz). She also served as the Dance Captain for the Musical Theater company: “Tecnológico de Monterrey, campus Querétaro” in México. Ana is so grateful to be here at Elon!

JT Loveless

J.T. Loveless is a sophomore Music Theatre major from Bentonville, AR. Past Elon roles include Pierre, Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812; & Papageno, The Magic Flute. He looks forward to performing as Adam in An American in Paris. He placed 1st at 2025 NATS Nationals in Lower MT TBB Voice, 1st at NATS Mid-Atlantic Regionals & North Carolina NATS for both 1st Year MT & Classical Voice, & won MT Best Overall Male Performance at NC NATS. He was a 2023 Jimmy Awards Nominee & Discovery Awards winner and is grateful for the opportunity to train at Elon!

Angelina Mancuso

Angelina Mancuso is a senior Music Theater major from Bucks County, Pennsylvania and is so excited to perform in Collage! This past summer she worked at New London Barn Playhouse and was Penny in Hairspray, Ensemble/Dance Captain in Mary Poppins, and Sister Mary Martin of Tours/US Mary Roberts in Sister Act. She is so happy to be back at Elon and wants to shout out her incredible class of MT26 for being her family at Elon. Also, most importantly, her AMAZING parents, she wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for their constant love and support! ENJOY COLLAGE!!

Victoria Martinez

Victoria Martinez is a sophomore Elon Music Theatre Major. She’s a 2024 Jimmy Awards semi-finalist for the role of Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown. She also joined NHFA’s “Artist in Residence” program where she had the opportunity to perform at the White House in Washington D.C. Her past shows include Sun Dried (Rosie), Romeo and Juliet (Nurse), and Carrie: The Musical (Margaret White). She is grateful for the class of ‘28 for being her greatest motivators and all who made Collage possible. Last but not least, she thanks her family for always bringing her joy and supporting her throughout her career.

Za’Naisha McGuire

Za’Naisha McGuire (She/Her) is a sophomore musical theater student who is so grateful to continue expanding her artistry here at Elon! A few of her favorite prior credits include Lil Inez (Hairspray), Heléne Bezukhova (Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812) Bebe Benzenhiemer (A Chorus Line) Ruth (Wonderful Town) and Minola McKnight/Assistant director (Parade). She is endlessly thankful to be apart of this incredible program and thanks everyone for their constant support and guidance!

Alex McLemore

Alex McLemore is a sophomore Music Theatre major at Elon University. This summer McLemore appeared in Oklahoma at Harmony Dinner Theater in Indiana where he was the Male Principal Swing. Last year McLemore made his collegiate debut in Merrily We Roll Along as Terry/Mr Spencer/us Joe. Prior credits include Moritz(Spring Awakening), Pippin(Pippin), Laurie(Little Women), Sky(Mamma Mia), and Tulsa(Gypsy). Leilani Miranda

Leilani Miranda is an upcoming sophomore double majoring in Music Theatre and Arts Administration with a minor is Business Administration. She is thrilled to be back at Elon after being apart of Forestburgh Playhouse’s Resident Company over the summer. Credits include: Mopsa in Head Over Heels (Forestburgh Playhouse), Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (Herberger Theatre Center), Marty in Grease (Shadow Ridge Theatre). Helena Padial

Helena Padial is a Senior Music Theatre BFA student and Psychology minor. Some of Helena’s past Elon credits include A Chorus Line (Kristine), and Merrily We Roll Along (Scotty/Mrs. Spencer). You will also see her dancing in the ensemble of this year’s fall musical, An American in Paris. Helena’s favorite regional credits include Mimi in RENT (New London Barn Playhouse), Maureen in RENT (Clear Space Theatre Company), and Cynthia Weil in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Clear Space Theatre Company). She would like to extend thanks her family for their love and support and to her class for an amazing 4 years at Elon! I can’t believe we’re Seniors!!!

Alex Prejean

Alex is in his second year at Elon. He’s currently in An American in Paris and is super excited to continue his training here.

Samantha Probst

Samantha is so grateful and excited to be performing in her first production at Elon with her new friends. As a first-year student and Vocal Scholar, she is loving her classes and rehearsals, especially with her new a cappella group the Shirley Tempos! She has recently played Anna in Frozen, Rusty in Footloose, and received the award for “best leading actor in a female dramatic role” at the JRay awards for her performance as Alice Murphy in Bright Star! Sam would like to thank her family and teachers, and hopes that you enjoy the show!

JonAshton Reid

JonAshton Reid is a Freshman in Music Theatre from Jacksonville, Florida. Credits include Twelfth Night (Malvolio), The Little Mermaid at The Muny, Hadestown, Great Comet, Once on This Island (Ensemble), and he most recently won an Applause Award for Outstanding Supporting Performer in his portrayal of Dr. Madden in Next to Normal. Aden Richman

Aden Richman is a sophomore Music Theatre major from San Carlos, CA. Past Elon credits include Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone. He looks forward to performing as an ensemble member in An American in Paris. Other favorite roles include Frank Cioffi in Curtains, Bobby Strong in Urinetown, Jack Kelly in Newsies, and Ren McCormick in Footloose. He is so grateful for his family’s support and for the wonderful friends he has made at Elon!

Niko Rinaldi

NIKO RINALDI is a first year music theatre major and is thrilled to be performing in his first collage. Some of Niko’s past performances include The Addams Family (Gomez Addams) , The Pajama Game (Sid Sorokin),The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldolpho), Anything Goes (Billy Crocker), Legally Blonde (Emmett Forrest), Something Rotten (Nick Bottom), Pippin (Pippin), Chicago (Billy Flynn) , Mean Girls (Aaron Samuels), and Mystery of Edwin Drood (Neville Landless).

Jakob Robinson

Jakob Robinson is a freshman in Elon’s Musical Theatre BFA program. Originally from Bexley, Ohio, he is thrilled to have made the move to North Carolina for the next 4 years to receive all of the incredible training that Elon has to offer. His favorite credits include Edward Bloom (Big Fish), Jason (Bare: A Pop Opera), Sonny Malone (Xanadu), Chip Tolentino (Spelling Bee), and Jack (Into The Woods). Jakob would like to thank all of the incredible professors who have already begun to push him further in each facet of Musical Theatre, his classmates for lifting each other up, and last but not least, his family for being incredibly supportive for supporting him as he grows in a field that he loves so much.

Sierra Safran

Sierra Safran is a junior and pumped to help assistant direct Collage. Last year she was in The Great Comet of 1812 which is one of her favorite show experiences ever! Other favorite shows she’s done are The Light in the Piazza (Clara), Spring Awakening (Wendla), and Pippin(Leading Player). Currently she is a swing in Elon’s An American in Paris which you simply must come see. Sierra is beaming with pride over this show her friends and faculty have put together so please enjoy!

Victoria Salisbury

Victoria is beyond grateful to have found her home at Elon University’s Music Theatre Department! Some favorite credits include: Princess Anita (Pirates Dinner Adventure), Ensemble/Swing in Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical, Winnie Foster in Tuck Everlasting (Orlando Family Stage), Mary Phagan in Parade (Garden Theatre), U/S Laertes in Hamlet, and Lise Dassin in An American in Paris (Interlochen Center for the Arts). Grace Santo

Grace Santo is a freshman in the Musical Theatre department at Elon University! She is originally from Virginia Beach, VA, but has just relocated to Huntsville, AL. Some recent credits include Six (Katherine Howard), Footloose (Rusty), and Something Rotten (Portia) at The Governor’s School For The Arts in Norfolk, VA. Grace is so excited to begin her journey here at Elon and is so grateful for all the students and teachers for being so welcoming. She also wants to thank her wonderful parents for their support. Gabriella Scarpace

Gabriella is a senior and is excited and sad for her last Collage! She was recently seen in Elon’s production of A Chorus Line as Judy Turner. Previously, Gabriella worked in Montana at Grandstreet Theatre in The Little Mermaid as Atina. She wants to thank the whole Music Theatre department for helping her grow into who she is today. Jack Shaffer

Jack Shaffer is beyond grateful and excited to be part of the Freshman Musical Theatre class at Elon!! Favorite credits from Georgia include: Footloose (Ren/Choreographer), The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson/Music Director), and Edward Tulane (Edward Tulane/Director – GHSA Best Actor). Jack was also active in Show Choir, earning multiple Best Male Soloist awards, and competed in Speech and Debate as a 3x State Champion in Humorous Interpretation. He is incredibly thankful for his amazing family and, above all, to God, who makes every step of this journey possible!! @thejackshaffer

Yaira Spears

Yaira Spears is a first year and is beyond thrilled to be apart of her first Collage! Down in Florida, she has previously been seen in Legally Blonde (Elle Woods) at Booker High School, and Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), and Cabaret (Frenchie, Kost U/S) both at The Sarasota Players. She wants to thank her supporters back at home (her parents and best friend Ciana), as well as her new friends and fellow classmates at Elon!

Laird Stearns

Laird is so thrilled to be apart of Elon Music Theatre’s Collage! Laird is a sophomore Music Theatre major with a double major in Arts Administration from Corpus Christi, Texas. He is stoked to be back at Elon for his second year and can’t wait to meet new people, try new things and performing side by side with his people. Laird was just recently a Swing in Elon University’s production of Merrily We Roll Along. Laird wants to thank his family for their unconditional love and support, his classmates for the incredible sense of community they create and his professors for their outstanding leadership and unmatched education they provide him. Elliot Sullivan

Elliot Sullivan, a sophomore at Elon University, is majoring in both Music Theatre and Arts Administration and minoring in dance. Since performing as a bluebird in his first musical, Cinderella Kids, Elliot has nurtured a deep passion for musical theatre. He extends heartfelt gratitude to his family and friends for their constant support, and above all, to God for blessing him with the opportunities that have shaped his journey. “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” 1 Chronicles 16:34

Jordyn Sutton

Jordyn is thrilled to be back for her second year performing in Collage! At Elon, she’s appeared in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (Ensemble/Sonya US) and is currently a swing in An American in Paris. Some of her favorite past roles include Wednesday Addams (The Addams Family) and Ariel (The Little Mermaid). Jordyn is so thankful for her amazing teachers, professors, friends, and, of course, her family—especially Mom and Dad—for all their love and support.

Mackenzie Tammara

Mackenzie is so happy to be back at Elon to start her sophomore year in the Music Theatre program! Last year she played Janet Van De Graaf in Elon Renegade’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone and is so excited to be in the fall musical, An American In Paris! Mackenzie would like to thank her parents for their unconditional love and support. She would also like to thank her classmates for being her second family! Love you guys!

Nolan Tiech

Nolan Tiech is ecstatic to be back at Elon for his sophomore year! He is immensely grateful to be surrounded by amazing faculty and peers. He wants to thank his friends and most importantly his family for supporting him every step of the way!

Jonah Uffelman

Jonah is excited to be back at Elon! Last spring, he played “Charley Kringas” in Merrily We Roll Along and in 2024, he went to the Jimmy Awards as a semi-finalist for his role as “Crybaby” in Crybaby: the Musical. He’d like to thank the boys of 104 for being his rock and his parents for continuing to allow him to indulge in his dream!

Gabe Waits

Gabe Waits is thrilled to perform in his second Collage production at Elon University. He previously appeared as George in The Drowsy Chaperone with Renegade Productions and will soon take the stage as Monsieur Baurel in An American in Paris. Gabe is infinitely grateful to his classmates for inspiring him with their talent every day and especially to the faculty and staff whose dedication makes this department so incredible.
