Director’s Note

Welcome to Grand Night 2024!

We are so thrilled to welcome you to one of the most joyous weekends of the year at Elon Music Theatre. This is the moment we connect with our history, celebrate our senior class and showcase the extraordinary talents of Elon Music Theatre students.

Thank you for being part of our family this weekend and for joining us for a fantastic evening of dancing, singing and storytelling. All of the numbers you will see are directed, choreographed, music directed and often arranged by our students.

This year, students participated in a 7-session Leadership Education Program in preparation for Grand Night with Dr. Chris Leupold (Isabella Cannon Professor of Leadership, Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Leadership Education & organizational consultant for Fortune 500 companies), Adam Kim (Assistant Professor of Psychology & incoming Faculty Fellow for Equity and Inclusion) and Whitney Gregory (Assistant Dean of Students). Collaborators noted with enthusiasm the thoughtfulness of the students during our discussions and depth of their reflections and written responses.

We are so pleased to present the fruit of their efforts and many hours of rehearsal to bring student visions come to life!

Thank you for being here with us and Happy Grand Night 2024!

Courtney Liu & Jane Lanier

Special Thanks
